It has been over three weeks since the G20 Summit left Toronto but the actions of protesters and police are still lingering.
Spacing Radio's podcast team was on the streets during the tumultuous weekend recording sounds and reactions to the ongoing events. Our contributors have also sat down politicians, journalists, and human rights advocates to discuss the complex issues of policing and protesting an international summit. Hi McCallum:
You have a point, but Spacing is about the urban landscape and public spaces so our approach is not about global issues but how an event like the G20 affects how we use a city. There are certainly enough media outlets out there to cover the issues that the G20 leaders were discussing. We felt there was not enough good coverage of the effect the summit had on the public realm of the city.

A five-part series without any topics dedicated to the meetings between national representatives?
This has been my primary gripe about these events. When media outlets tip their news coverage balance totally toward the ancillary protest events and riots and not the meetings between world leaders, it does a disservice to the public.
